NCI-Frederick Recycling Program:

Material Type: Plastic - General

Can be Recycled at NCI-Frederick:
PETE – Softdrink Bottles, water bottles, sports drinks, vegetable bottles, mouthwash Peanut butter, and salad dressing bottles

HDPE – Milk, water jugs, juice, and bleach, detergent, shampoo, grocery and trash bags, household cleaner bottles, yogurt containers, empty motor oil bottles, and cereal box liners

LDPE – Stretch Film, wire and cable insulation, bread bags, frozen food bags, squeezable bottles, And dry cleaning bags.
 

Can't be Recycled at NCI-Frederick:
PVC – Drainage pipes, window cleaner bottles, cooking oil bottles, detergent bottles, shampoo, Clear food packaging, wire and cable jacketing, medical tubing, siding and piping

PP – Yogurt containers, Ice cream and cake containers, syrup bottles, ketchup bottles, caps, straws, Medicine bottles. * NOTE – Pipette Tip Trays are the only 5 recyclable at NCI-Frederick, call x5718 for waste management to pick up clear full bags.

PS – CD Jewel Cases, packing foam, Media bottles, plates, cups, cutlery, meat trays, egg cartons, Aspirin bottles, and carry-out containers.

Other – Plastic plates and cups, 3 or 5 gallon water bottles, certain food product bottles, and anything that does not fall into another category or has a mixture of resins
