Upload Data
Send Data to AFNI Server
How to send us data:
- Make sure that someone here (for example, Bob Cox or Ziad Saad) knows the data is coming and will look at it. Sending files to this server without prior permission is a bad idea - they will be deleted without inspection.
- Make a new directory and put copies of all the files you want to send into it.
Then tar and gzip this directory into one archive file. For example:
mkdir YourName cp elvis+orig.* YourName tar cvf - YourName | gzip -9v > YourName.tgz
To prevent confusion on the AFNI end, please use your real name (or some abbreviation of it) in place of "YourName" in the example above.- Of course, you will have to copy the correct files for transfer into the directory (not elvis).
- It will also be very helpful if you include a README file in the directory that describes the data and the problems you are having with it.
- If you upload two files with the same name from the same IP address, the second one may overwrite the first.
- If you upload a file from a Microsoft Windows or Mac OS X system, please make sure the filename does not contain blanks.
- Send the "YourName.tgz"
file using the form below. You will probably have to put
the full path to the file in the "Filename" field. The simplest way to do that
is to use the "Browse" button to select the file. Do not use a filename
that contains a space.
- Uploads of very long files (for example, collections of AFNI datasets) may take a long time, especially if you have a slow or noisy Internet connection.
- Send e-mail to the recipient here to inform them that the transfer
was accomplished.
- Include the filename that you transferred, and any other information you think is relevant.
- Begin very patiently waiting for an answer.
