Overview of the 2001 Workshop

On May 10, 2001, NIH hosted a workshop on Extramural Enterprise and Extension Systems. The workshop showcased IMPAC II modules that support NIH business practices and demonstrated various extension systems developed by the ICs that may be adaptable by other ICs. The workshop reviewed extension systems that either exist within ICs at the NIH or are planned by the ICs.

Systems demonstrated at the conference share two key requirements:

• support business practices that are in common with other ICs.
• developed using software that would make them easily adaptable to other ICs.
