Director, Endocrine Systems Biology Program

Current Portfolio/Responsibilities:

Grant portfolios: Endocrine Signaling, Stem Cell Research, Genomics Research, Systems Biology and Chemical Biology in the context of Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolic Diseases.

Administrative leadership (director) of the Beta Cell Biology Consortium (BCBC), a large international effort bringing a team-based approach to the acquisition of new knowledge and the production of new resources necessary to develop a cell-based therapy for insulin delivery.

NIDDK contact person for matters relating to Regenerative Medicine.
