Description: The race and ethnicity of individuals in the MEPS HC are reported in order to support analyses for minority groups. The specifications for determining both the race and ethnicity were changed in the MEPS HC survey in 2002. In addition to the publications listed below, most of the statistical briefs and other analytic reports using MEPS HC data include race/ethnicity breakouts and analysis.
