Add/Edit Inventors

Note: The iEdison system allows up to 12 inventors to be associated with an invention or patent report. The main screen allows entry of the first inventor. Additional inventors may be added using the "Add/Edit Inventors" button. Add/Modify an invention report as described in Add/Modify Invention Reports OR add/modify a patent report as described in Add/Modify Patent Reports. Prior to submitting your changes: Enter the name for the first inventor on the main screen. Note: First and last name are required. If you need to add/modify additional inventors, click Add/Edit Inventors to access the Add/Edit Inventors - List up to 12 inventors page. Enter the name for each additional inventor. Note: The inventor you entered on the main page will be listed first on the Add/Edit Inventors - List up to 12 inventors page. Click Submit to enter the information. The additional inventor information is saved and the Create or Modify page is re-displayed, depending on whether you are adding or modifying an invention or patent report. OR Click Cancel, to cancel the addition/modification of inventors. Any changes that were made are ignored and the Create or Modify page is re-displayed, depending on whether you are adding or modifying an invention or patent report.     Field Definitions First Name Middle Name Last Name The inventor fields reflect the full name of each inventor associated with the invention. Any combination of upper and lower case letters may be used. The first and last name fields may be used to search inventors associated with the Invention Report. The iEdison system allows up to 12 inventors to be associated with each Invention Report. The main screen allows entry of the first inventor.
