Strategic Planning Meetings

The Strategic Planning Workspace is not holding regular workspace meetings at the current time.

January 8, 2007 - Discussion topics during this teleconference included updates on the following activities: caBIG™ and SP WS Structure in the Enterprise, Alternative caBIG™ Funding Models and Mechanisms, and Criteria and Priorities for caBIG™ Products and Activities.

November 6, 2006 - Discussion topics during this teleconference included a Review of RFP subgroup recommendations and updates on the Mentoring Capability Plan, Community of Communities White Paper, and Model Harmonization White Paper.

October 2, 2006 - Steve Sandberg presented the Model Harmonization Working Group’s activities and accomplishments. The group considered the next steps for caBIG™ model harmonization across workspaces. David Fenstermacher provided an update on the caBIG™ portal activity. Kim Johnson provided feedback on the current portal activities in the Architecture Workspace. The group considered next steps for the caBIG™ Portal activities.

September 11, 2006 - Discussion topics during this teleconference included a DSIC Workspace update, the CTWG initiative, barriers to data sharing, credentialing, and business modeling.

August 7, 2006 - The Strategic Planning Workspace received a Security Team update and considered new models for workspace liaisons.

June 5, 2006 - The Strategic Planning Workspace considered potential methods to efficiently gather end-user requirements during the software development process. The group identified several challenges and discussed potential solutions.

May 1, 2006 - Discussion topics during this teleconference included a 21 CFR 11 update and the prototype version of caGrid 1.0, which was accompanied by a demo.

April 3, 2006 - Discussion topics during this teleconference included crosscutting model harmonization, 21 CFR11, caBIG™ Portal, workflows, training and documentation compatibility requirements, the recommendations of the SP WS RFP subgroup, and caBIG™ communications.

February 6, 2006 - Discussion topics during this teleconference included updates on the March (2006) Face-to-Face Meeting, caBIG™ Strategic Planning Process, RFP Subgroup, Patient Advocates Statement, and Training Workspace activities.

January 9, 2006 - Discussion topics during this teleconference included planning for the annual meeting, a patient advocates update, architecture related topics (application versioning and interoperability), and meeting notes development.
