National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) Redesign: Technical BackgroundThis report, prepared by the U.S. Bureau of the Census unit that collects data for the NCVS, explains the technical aspects of the redesign program. Comparing the old and new questionnaire, the report discusses wording of questions and changes in methodology, procedures, definitions, and offense classifications.
