The Human Resources Directorate (HRD) is one of eleven Directorates of the Washington Headquarters Services, a Department of Defense (DoD) Field Activity.
The mission of the HRD is to provide human resource (HR) services for executive, political, military, and civilian personnel; perform security investigations and clearances; conduct adjudications and appeals; and manage the various voluntary campaign programs, e.g., the annual DoD Combined Federal Campaign. HRD employees work in ten different divisions providing HR and personnel security services.
