• The National Diabetes Education Program promotes critically important messages and offers a wide variety of education materials for people with and at risk for type 2 diabetes.

• Based on the Diabetes Prevention Program’s findings, NDEP’s Small Steps. Big Rewards. Prevent Type 2 Diabetes campaign was launched in 2002 and encourages health care professionals and people at risk for diabetes to take action to prevent or delay the onset of the disease through modest changes in lifestyle, i.e. small steps.
