NbLib0010: NIDCD human fetal cochlea subtracted (n)

A human fetal cochlea cDNA library was constructed using the Clontech PCR-Select cDNA Subtraction Kit. This is a PCR-based method for the enrichment of differentially expressed sequences. Total human fetal cochlea RNA was provided by Cynthia Morton (Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, MA).Subtraction was performed with RNA pooled from human brain, testis, kidney, uterus and fibroblast. A plasmid library was generated from these sequences by subcloning into the pCR2.1 TA vector (Invitrogen). The availability of library clones is limited.

Although reads have been trimmed for quality, the full collection includes many short and relatively poor sequences that give rise to some clustering artifacts. The match of individual groups of sequences can be checked using the BLAT option that is accessed by following links from the number of clones (#).
