Product Description

caTissue Core is caBIG's tissue bank repository tool for biospecimen inventory, tracking, and basic annotation. Version 1.2.2 of caTissue permits users to track the collection, storage, quality assurance, and distribution of specimens as well as the derivation and aliquotting of new specimens from an existing ones (e.g. for DNA analysis). It also allows users to find and request specimens that may then be used in molecular, correlative studies.

Note: The deployment guide for caTissue Core 1.2.2 has been updated as on 25th June 2008 related to some security configurations. Please refer to step 5 in section 3.3. This configuration is critical to avoid unautorized access via grid using anonymous access, please verify the setting in your deployment, if this has been done.

Full installation requires installation of JBoss, version 4.0.4GA; MySQL 5.0.27; Oracle version 9i or 10g; ANT (Apache); JDK, version 1.5 or higher; Mail server access.
