Examining brain function in stuttering children and adults
|
We are studying how brain activity differs in adults and children who stutter from fluent speakers. For this outpatient study, people will undergo speech and language testing and a noninvasive brain imaging technique called functional magnetic resonance imaging while they listen to sounds and speak. Study procedures take 2-4 days for approximately 3-4 hours each day.
The study is being conducted at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland; all costs for the study are paid for by NIH. Travel and lodging costs are supported by the NIH. For more information, please call or write:
