Developing and nurturing research in clinical departments has never been more difficult. Rehabilitation lacks a large research base and suffers from the lack of collective wisdom from senior departmental leaders who have developed research programs. This conference is specifically designed as an interactive forum to assist department chairs and other leaders in rehabilitation in building research programs. The conference will focus on negotiating the "academic jungle," i.e., on the practical mechanics and administrative steps necessary for success.
Who Should Attend? Department Chairs in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Allied Health Disciplines, Division Heads, and Medical Directors
Topics
- Research in the Clinical Department: costs, benefits, resources
- Developing Young Investigators: protected time, mentoring, start-up
