    View/Modify Registration Request Details


View registration request details.

  1. Search for and select the registration request as described in Search Registration Requests.
  2. The iEdison Registration Request Details page will be displayed. Note the following about the registration information:
    • Fields followed by an asterisk (*) are required.
    • A registration request cannot be approved until the faxed registration has been received, the e-mail address has been verified, and the registration request has been verified by the agency.
    • To approve a registration request, set the registration status to Approved. Note: When modifications to the request are submitted, the individuals listed as the Extramural Technology Transfer contact and the Signatory will receive an e-mail notification regarding the approval.
    • To reject a registration request set the registration status to Rejected.
      Note: When modifications to the request are submitted, you will be prompted to enter a reason for the rejection. Enter a reason and click Submit. The individual listed as the Extramural Technology Transfer contact will receive an e-mail notification regarding the rejection.
    • Click Cancel Changes to reset the registration request details back to their last saved value. The iEdison Registration Request Details page is re-displayed with the old values present.
    • Click Send e-mail for information to access the iEdison Registration Information - Request More Information page. This page is used to request additional registration information from the grantee or contractor organization. See Registration Request: Request More Information.
  3. Click Submit Changes to enter the information. The registration request is updated and the iEdison Registration Information Confirmation page is displayed.
    • Click View Registration Request to view the registration request you just modified.
    • Click Search for another registration request to return to the Search for Registration Requests - Search Options page and perform a new search.
    • Click Return to main menu to access the iEdison Main Menu page.

  Field Definitions
Registration Status

The registration status indicates the present status of the registration request. Select the most appropriate value.

Pending - Indicates that the registration request was submitted but no action has been taken regarding its approval or denial.

Approved - Indicates that the registration request was submitted and is approved.

Rejected - Indicates the registration request was submitted and is denied.

Faxed Registration Received

The Faxed Registration Received field indicates whether the NIH has received the signed, faxed registration form.

Verified by Agency

The Verified by Agency field indicates whether the federal agency referenced in the registration request has validated the grantee or contractor organization.

Email Verified

The Email Verified field indicates whether the Administrator for the Extramural Office of Technology Transfer has verified the e-mail address provided in the registration request.

Request Date & Time

The request date & time indicates the date and time the registration request was submitted to the iEdison system.

Grantee/Contractor Organization

The full name of the Extramural Grantee or Contractor Organization.

Organization DUNS The Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number, provided by Dun & Bradstreet, is a nine-digit number that uniquely identifies a business entity. Entry of a DUNS number is optional; however, all entered values must pass a system validation check.

Note: Entry of a DUNS number is not valid for federal iEdison User Profiles or the NIH iEdison Accounts Administrator.

Organization Type

The organization type of the Extramural Grantee or Contractor Organization. Select the most appropriate type from the list (see below for details).

Small Business - Grantee or contractor eligible to receive SBIR or STTR grant/contract awards.

Large Business - For-profit organization that does not qualify for SBIR or STTR grant or contract awards. These organizations are typically recipients of government contracts.

Non-Profit - Grantee or contractor organizations that hold not-for-profit status according to the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.

Individual - Individual inventor to whom invention rights have been assigned.

Other - Any grantee or contractor organization that does not fit into the other specified types. Selection of this option must be accompanied by a description (see following field).

If the Organization Type = Other, please provide an appropriate description of the grantee or contractor organization's type.

The address of the Office of Technology Transfer or equivalent at the Extramural Organization. The address is composed of four street address lines, city, state, zip, and country.

Note: Address information is not required. However, if any address information is supplied, all fields with a ^ next to them become required. This includes: Address Line 1, City, State, Zip, and Country.

OTT Phone

The phone number of the Office of Technology Transfer or equivalent at the Extramural Organization.

The format of this field is: (123) 456-7890 in countries using the North American Numbering Plan, including the U.S., Canada, and most of the Caribbean. Other countries use the country code, followed by the city code and number (e.g., +44 023422).

The phone number of the Office of Technology Transfer or equivalent at the Extramural Organization.

Grantee/Contractor Organization Code

The organization code is the unique code assigned to the extramural organization.

Funding Agreement Number

The funding agreement number is composed of the agency code and the grant or contract number for a supporting agency that has contributed to the conception or first actual reduction to practice of the invention.

Prefix (e.g. Dr., Ms., Rev.)

The prefix to the name of the Extramural Technology Transfer Administrator.

First Name

The first name of the Extramural Technology Transfer Administrator.

Middle Name

The middle name or initial of the Extramural Technology Transfer Administrator.

Last Name

The last name of the Extramural Technology Transfer Administrator.

Suffix (e.g. Jr., Nobel)

Any suffix to the name of the Extramural Technology Transfer Administrator.

Title

The title of the Extramural Technology Transfer Administrator.

E-mail Address

The e-mail address of the Extramural Technology Transfer Administrator.

The format for this field is test@test.com.

Phone

The phone number of the Extramural Technology Transfer Administrator.

Requested Username (6-20 characters)

The username requested for the Extramural Technology Transfer Administrator account. The username must be between 6 and 20 characters and may be any combination of letters and numbers. The username must be unique within the iEdison system. If the username requested already occurs in the iEdison system, a different username will be required.

Note: The username is case sensitive. Any capital letters in the username will have to be entered by the account user when logging in to the iEdison system.

Requested Password (6-20 characters)

The password requested for the Extramural Technology Transfer Administrator account. The password must be between 6 and 20 characters and may be any combination of letters and numbers.
