| Description: | Gareth Buckland, the NIH Recycling Coordinator, will be discussing the many new recycling and composting initiatives at NIH: cafeteria composting, animal-bedding composting, labware recycling, biodegradable materials to (slowly) replace Styrofoam in cafeterias, and the wide range of materials that are becoming recyclable here at NIH (think plastic without necks! cardboard from frozen dinners! and more!)!
We are also hoping to sign-up volunteers who are willing to serve as recycling/environmental coordinators for their work areas. We will have hand-outs for volunteers and information for you to take back to your office or lab.
