Ordering Articles via PubMed Produced by the U.S. National Library of Medicine, the MEDLINE database of indexed journal citations and abstracts now covers nearly 4,800 journals published in the United States and more than 70 other countries. The file contains over 12 million citations dating back to1966. Coverage is worldwide, but most records are from English-language sources or have English abstracts. Access to MEDLINE is available free from the Web using PubMed. The Loansome Doc feature of PubMed can be used to order articles during a search session. In order to request articles from Loansome Doc, users must first register with the Library. Registration forms are available here, at the Library, or by calling x1093. Once the form has been completed, submit it to the Library to receive a packet of information on getting started with Loansome Doc. This service of the Scientific Library is only provided for NCI-Frederick staff and affiliated contractors/employees. Instructions for using Loansome Doc: 1. Register with the Scientific Library to obtain the Library Ordering ID. 2. Perform a literature search using PubMed. 3. Check the boxes to the left of the articles you want to order. 4. Click the Send To: drop down box near the top of the page and select Order. 5a. If you are a current Loansome Doc user, enter your Email Address and Password. Then, click Login. 5b. If you have
never used Loansome Doc, click on Sign up! to register. Complete the
online registration. When finished, use the newly created account to
