Current Position:
Deputy Director, KUH Basic Science
Current Portfolio/Responsibilities:
• Direct the basic renal physiology program (KCK BRP), which supports basic research on normal function of the mature kidney.
• Manage the basic diabetic nephropathy program (KCK AMDC), which supports basic research on disease pathogenesis in the diabetic kidney.
• Project Scientist for the AMDCC, an interdisciplinary program designed to develop models that closely mimic the human complications of diabetes for the purpose of studying disease pathogenesis, prevention and treatment.

Ph.D. - Molecular Physiology and Biological Physics, University of Virginia (1993-1998)
Postdoctoral Fellow - The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine (1998 – 2003)
