Updated Titan User's Guide Is Available
The November 2003 edition of the Titan User's Guide is now available through the CIT publication service. This edition is current through Interface issue 228 (November 2003) and Titan/South System News of November 7, 2003.
What's New
The updated Titan User's Guide includes information on:
- fiscal year 2004 rates
- IMS logon
- tape management system features
- Web Sponsor changes
- new Web-based services
- NIH WYLBUR access through Titan
- QWS 3270 Secure for secure telnet connections
- NJE (Network Job Entry) changes
- inactive USERids
- USERids with non-expiring passwords
South system users should become familiar with this Titan User's Guide since the South system will shut down January 12, 2004.
CIT regularly updates information on the Titan Transition Web page, which you will want to check from time to time. Titan users who submit batch jobs should also refer to the Titan Batch Processing manual, available from the CIT publication Web page.
How to Get a Copy
In order to view or receive a hardcopy of the updated Titan User's Guide, contact the TASC help desk at 301-594-6248 or go to the CIT publication Web page. Look under the category "NIH Computer Center User's Guides." The Titan User's Guide is available in the following formats:

This printed version is available to users with a South system account/initials combination, a Titan USERid, or a Unix username/login. Copies can be placed in your output box, mailed, or held for pickup at CIT. |

Stay Up to Date
We strongly recommend that all users of CIT's OS/390 services subscribe to two e-mail lists that announce new issues of Titan/South System News and Interface. Subscribing is also easy from their respective Web pages.
In addition, you can subscribe to the "CIT-Doc-Renew" list that sends you e-mail notification whenever a new manual is available. CIT only distributes updates of publications when they are specifically requested.
