Users Can Request a Reset of Passwords for Parachute, VPN, Helix, and ALW via NIH Login
Users can now request a reset of their passwords for Parachute, VPN, Helix or ALW via the NIH Loginon the "Password Reset" Web page. You will first be authenticated through the NIH Login, which requires the user name and password used to log on to the network. This new option is only available to NIH employees.
On the "Password Reset" Web page, specify the type of userid (e.g., Parachute, VPN), the ID whose password is to be reset, and your e-mail address and telephone number. When the "Continue" button is clicked, the authority of the requestor and the userid is validated, and a Remedy ticket is generated requesting the password reset. When the password has been successfully reset by CIT Customer Accounts, you will be contacted via your phone number or e-mail address. When you use the NIH Login, Web Sponsor validates your request by matching your NIH IDthe ten-digit numbers at the bottom of NIH ID badgeswith your Titan userid. Authentication via NIH Login will fail if your NIH ID has not been added to your Web Sponsor customer record. If this occurs, contact your account sponsor. Account sponsors can go to "The Importance of NIH IDs" to see how to add an NIH ID to a Web Sponsor record. If you have questions, contact the NIH help desk at 301-496-4357.
