/*NETACCT Required in Non-NIH Jobs Beginning September 15
In March 2003, Titan/South System News announced that CIT would begin requiring that jobsexecuted outside of NIH and transmitted to Titan for printinginclude a valid /*NETACCT statement. Most users who are affected have already followed the two steps outlined below. Those who haven't should do so quickly to avoid any disruption when CIT enforces this requirement in September 2003.
What Will Happen in September?
Beginning September 15, CIT will reject any job executed outside of NIH and transmitted to Titanbut not associated with any Titan USERid via a /*NETACCT statement. If no /*NETACCT control statement is includedor if the Titan USERid on the NETACCT statement has not been registered to use NETACCTthen the SYSOUT from the non-NIH node will be rejected by Titan. The SYSOUT will be sent back to the sending node.
I Run Jobs at Non-NIH Nodes-What Do I Need to Do?
1. Preregister Node and USERids
The information provided below will allow us to charge the appropriate account for printing and provide contact information in case of problems. Call TASC at (301) 594-6248 and provide the following information:
| the originating node namethat is, where the job will be coming from |
| the USERid at that originating node |
| one or more associated valid Titan USERids |
For example:
Information Needed | Examples |
Non-NIH NJE node name | CDCJES2, SSAPRD1, HCFJES, CCF1, NPH, SPGFLDCDCJES2, SSAPRD1, HCFJES, CCF1, NPH, SPGFLD |
USERid registered at the non-NIH node | JOHND |
Associated Titan USERid(s) | aaaaiii, $iii |
2. Include /*NETACCT JCL
Add a /*NETACCT control statement to your JCL that includes a Titan USERid previously registered for this service. The form of the statement is:
| XMIT Statement Example For /*XMIT, the /*NETACCT statement must appear before the /*XMIT statement. //jobname JOB (Titan JOB statement) /*NETACCT titanuserid /*XMIT nodename (the non-NIH node where job is run) //rcvjob JOB (receiving node JOB statement) /*JOBPARM ROOM=bbbb /*ROUTE PRINT NIHJES2.HOLD (any other control statements required by receiving host) //stepname EXEC ... |
| ROUTE XEQ Statement Example
For /*ROUTE XEQ, the /*NETACCT statement must appear after the /*ROUTE XEQ statement. //rcvjob JOB (receiving node JOB statement) /*ROUTE XEQ nodename (the non-NIH node where job is run) /*NETACCT titanuserid /*JOBPARM ROOM=bbbb /*ROUTE PRINT NIHJES2.HOLD (any other control statements required by receiving host) //stepname EXEC ... |
Note for South System Users
For jobs that run on the South system and print on Titan, there is no need to register or to include a /*NETACCT statement.
If you wish to submit a job from the South system to run on Titan, a /*NETACCT statement must be included but there is no need to preregister any information.
If you have any questions, please contact TASC at (301) 594-6248.
