Titan UsersChanges in Printing Non-NIH Jobs on Titan
Currently, NJE (Network Job Entry) jobs executed outside of NIH and transmitted to Titan for printing are not associated with any Titan USERid.
In the near future the NIH Computer Center will require customers who need to print such jobs to preregister with TASC.
Preregistering Node and USERids
Call TASC at (301) 594-6248 and provide the following information:
For example:
Information Needed | Examples |
Non-NIH NJE node name | CDCJES2, SSAPRD1, HCFJES, CCF1, NPH, SPGFLDCDCJES2, SSAPRD1, HCFJES, CCF1, NPH, SPGFLD |
USERid registered at the non-NIH node | JOHND |
Associated Titan USERid(s) | aaaaiii, $iii |
This information will allow us to charge the appropriate account for printing and provide contact information in case of problems.
New JCL Needed
In addition to registering this information, customers will need to include a /*NETACCT control statement in their JCL with a Titan USERid previously registered for this service. The form of the statement is:
/*NETACCT TitanUSERid
The following examples show jobs submitted on Titan to be run at a node named "nodename."
XMIT Statement
This job uses a /*XMIT statement. The /*NETACCT statement must appear before the /*XMIT statement.
Example
ROUTE XEQ Statement
The next example uses a /*ROUTE XEQ statement instead of the /*XMIT statement:
Example
If no /*NETACCT control statement is includedor if the Titan USERid on the NETACCT statement has not been registered to use NETACCTthen the SYSOUT from the non-NIH node will not print on Titan. It will be sent back to the sending node.
Note for South System Users
For jobs that run on the South system and print on Titan, there is no need to register or to include a /*NETACCT statement.
If you have any questions, please contact TASC at (301) 594-6248.
