Workgroup on Extramural Training Systems (WETS) Minutes
Meeting Number 1
April 30, 2001
Rockledge Two, Room 6199

Attending: Michael Cox, Tammy Dean-Maxwell, Emily Linde, Bob Reifsnider, Walter Schaffer, Carin Sprick, Sara Stone, Diana Trunnell, Marie Willett

The first meeting included introductions and discussions about the name and function of the Workgroup. The attached documents were handed out in draft form. The documents shown include modifications that reflect input from the Workgroup during the course of the first meeting. These documents will serve to identify the committee’s areas of interests and priorities for development and deployment. The Workgroup agreed that it would focus on general and conceptual design requirements and would serve in an advisory role to the broader eRA Project Management Team as well as Michael Cox and Bob Reifsnider as representatives of IMPAC II and the Commons Development Teams, respectively. The Workgroup agreed to meet every two weeks for a few months until it has developed greater familiarity with X-Train and is in a better position to provide oversight and guidance for the development and deployment of new modules.

Wally indicated that he would set up a second meeting in two weeks. At that time, Mike Cox will provide a demonstration of X-Train, Version 1.5. At the third meeting, Carin, Tammy and Mike will discuss reports available under the TA interface. Once the Workgroup is fully functional it will adopt a meeting schedule closer to once every month.
