Resources
Research tools, clinical specimen availability, informatics tools, and other resources.
Research Tools
- Standard Operating Procedures
- Find EDRN Protocols
- MALDI Dilution Data (147 MB Zip file)
These data come from a dilution experiment aimed at elucidating which features in MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry data are informative for quantifying peptide content. The details of the experiment are described in Ref[1].pdf.
- Biomarker Reference Laboratories
The Biomarker Reference Laboratories provide validation and other assistance with biomarkers research.
Clinical Specimens
Search for Clinical Specimens
- EDRN Resource Network Exchange (ERNE)
Real-time search for specimens across participating EDRN member sites.
- Access to Secure Website (EDRN investigators only)
- Summary of Clinical Samples at EDRN Sites
Enables you to search for specimens within the EDRN by organ site, specimen type, and principal investigator. Login required.
Informatics Resources
EDRN develops tools for informatics, computer-based collection, classification, storage, and analysis of knowledge. By connecting research institutions together into a virtual knowledge system, informatics is making it possible for multiple organizations to access, share and analyze data regardless of its location, format, or semantics.
EDRN, through its Data Management and Coordinating Center, NCI, and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory develops two classes of informatics tools, several of which you can download or use online:
- Common data elements
- Data Element Search
- Diagnostics and Biomarkers Statistical (DABS) Center. This website assembles resources for education about, application of, and new research on, statistical methods for evaluating diagnostics and biomarkers. The focus is on validation rather than on discovery.
