Chemistry and Structural Biology Faculty
Mission Statement
Members of the Chemistry and Structural Biology Faculty (CSBF) perform basic research ranging from developing new concepts in rational and structure-based drug design to structural investigations at the atomic, molecular, and cellular levels of resolution. The Faculty provides the infrastructure to facilitate success of cancer and AIDS research at NCI through utilization of chemical and physical sciences and technologies. The pivotal role of chemistry and structural biology in these priority research areas, particularly in regard to advances in drug discovery, mechanisms of carcinogenesis, early detection, molecular imaging, and biomarker discovery and validation, highlights the need to further incorporate the best chemistry and structural biology into NCI Programs and to enhance the role of NCI in these fields.

How To Join
Any NCI staff member may join the Chemistry and Structural Biology Faculty. Staff members from elsewhere at NIH may join as adjunct members. Both regular and adjunct members receive CSBF announcements; however, only regular members (NCI staff) can participate in CSBF elections.

To request membership in this or any NCI Intramural Program, please visit and fill out the Request for Membership Form.
