Staff Clinician

The Neuro-Oncology Branch (NOB) of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and National Institutes of Neurologic Disease and Stroke (NINDS) of the National Institutes of Health is currently recruiting for enthusiastic and talented STAFF CLINICIANS.  Prior training in Medical Oncology, Neurology, or Neurosurgery is preferable.  The position responsibilities will include the design and implementation of single and multi-institution phase I and II clinical trials for adults with primary brain tumors.  The Clinician will also participate in the management of over 2000 brain tumor patients seen annually in the NOB Brain Tumor Clinic, and contribute to the training of Research Fellows.  The opportunity exists for the successful candidate to ultimately transition to a tenure track position in order to establish an independent clinical and/or translational research career.  A candidate’s interests should complement the mission of the NOB, which is to develop an integrated clinical, translational, and basic research program that engages the strengths and resources of the NCI and NINDS.
