Position Description: One position is available immediately to study the molecular biology of human ovarian cancer. This effort involves the extensive use of microarrays, bioinformatics data analysis, and validation of array results using human specimens. Presently, the laboratory has one of the largest expression databases for human ovarian cancer in the world and ongoing efforts are focused on correlations with the clinical features of the disease. It is anticipated that this project will yield new insights into the origin of the ovarian cancer and new approaches to the clinical management of the disease. The project will include the testing of hypotheses generated from expression profiling both in vitro and in vivo using ovarian cancer cell lines and mouse models.
Experience Required: A senior position is being sought for a candidate with strong bioinformatics background preferable in microarray analysis. Candidates for the positions should have an M.D./Ph.D., Ph.D., or M.D., previous post-doctoral experience and strong research credentials documented by publication record.
