Houses the largest collection of Finnish-North American materials in the world. Along with archival materials, the collection includes genealogical resources, information about Finnish culture, artifacts, and North America's largest collection of Finnish-American artwork. Suomi-Seura, Finland Society, provides information and services to Finns living abroad or returning to Finland. In Finnish, Swedish, and English.

U.S. Department of State. Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor. Country Reports on Human Rights Practices 2006: Finland (http://www.state.gov/g/drl/rls/hrrpt/2006/78811.htm)
Country Reports on Human Rights Practices are submitted annually by the U.S. Department of State to the U.S. Congress. The reports cover internationally recognized individual, civil, political, and worker rights, as set forth in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Immigration

As of January 1, 2008, a new organization responsible for immigration and integration issues will be established in the Ministry of Interior which will also assume duties related to asylum and immigration policy from the Ministry of Labor. The Immigration Department and the Directorate of Immigration will be part of the new entity.

The Directorate of Immigration (UVI) is an agency of the Ministry of the Interior. Includes information on the Directorate, forms and fees, publications, statistics, visitors, working, returnees and refugees, family, citizenship, and links to other information and databanks.
