Calculating the Indirect Expenses

Multiple indirect expenses can be entered for the FSR record and calculated by the system. Once a query is executed and the FSR record retrieved:

• Click the button to access the FSR Indirect Expense Screen (FSR8006).

• Enter the approved rate in effect during the reporting period.
• Enter the base dollar amount against which the rate is applied.
• Click the button to multiply the rate times the base and update the total amount.

• Click the button to update the database with all changes and return to the FSR Edit Screen (FSR8005) with the entered rate as illustrated in Figure 3. 9.

NOTE: Up to 10 entries can be added within the Indirect Expense List. When multiple indirect entries exists, Various is displayed, otherwise the rate is displayed.

NOTE: The Federal Share field must be greater than or equal to zero and less than or equal to the Indirect Expense – Total Amount.
