NIEHS/NTP Laboratory Animal Medicine Training Program

CMPB: Cellular & Molecular Pathology Branch

The LAM Group offers training in Laboratory Animal Medicine that allows trainees to participate in NTP and NIEHS laboratory animal veterinary care. The training program offers laboratory animal medicine expertise from board certified ACLAM veterinarians located in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina and surrounding areas. In addition to trainees being involved in a variety of laboratory animal science settings, they also have the opportunity to attend outside training activities and scientific meetings, as well as to engage in collaborative research with intramural NTP and NIEHS scientists. Trainees also have clinical responsibilities and participate in didactic training at nearby the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Department of Laboratory Medicine. Additional information may be found in the Postdoctoral Fellowships in Laboratory Animal Medicine (/research/atniehs/labs/lep/ntp-lam/doc/animal-brochure.pdf)  Download Adobe Reader (3.6 MB).
