NCI announces a course for Cancer Scientific Writing (CSW)Course evaluation now available Overview: The purpose of the course is to increase a scientist’s and physician’s ability to successfully communicate scientific ideas in scientific/medical journal articles. The course initially focuses on writing clear sentences and how to use the title, abstract and introduction sections to draw in target audiences. It will be emphasized how to write a well organized, focused discussion section to make your point and how to place your research in the context of the existing scientific literature. In addition, a tutorial will be held on May 12, 2005: Registrants can meet in a tutorial section and present scientific articles to Carol Winkelman, a writing consultant, for evaluation and follow-up.
