Effects of Acute Exposure:
Eye: Slight transient irritation is possible
Skin: Not a skin irritant, although prolonged, repeated or
occluded contact may cause minor irritation or drying of the skin.
Inhalation: None known. Inhalation of dusts may aggravate pre-existing upper respiratory conditions.
Chronic Health Effects: From MSDS
Through its intended use and any inadvertent low level long term ingestion, the product is not expected to result in any hazardous condition.
Carcinogenicity: From MSDS
Sub chronic effects/Carcinogenicity: This product contains sodium saccharin. For hazard communication purposes, IARC concludes that saccharin and its salts as cannot be classified as human carcinogens. In the NTP Ninth Report on Carcinogens, saccharin has been removed from the list of substances reasonably anticipated to be a human carcinogen. Through its intended use and any inadvertent low level long term ingestion, the product is not expected to result in any hazardous condition.
First Aid: From MSDS
Eyes: Check for and remove contacts. Flood eyes with clean flowing water, low pressure and luke warm (not hot) if possible, occasionally lifting upper and lower eyelids.
Ingestion: If large amounts of this material are swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Give a glass of water to drink if person in conscious. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Seek medical attention.
Inhalation: Remove from area of exposure to fresh air. Treat symptomatically.
Skin: Brush material off and wash exposed area.
Note to Physician: Large ingested doses may produce systemic alkalosis and expansion in extracellular fluid volume with edema.

Store in cool dry areas and away from incompatible substances
Sodium Bicarbonate, on thermal decomposition or reaction with acids, will yield carbon dioxide gas which can accumulate in confined spaces. Do not enter confined spaces until they have been well ventilated and carbon dioxide and oxygen levels have been determined to be safe.
Disposal: From MSDS
Bury in a secured landfill in accordance with all local, state and federal environmental regulations.
