Minority Serving Institutions are those in which students of minority groups, who are underrepresented in the biomedical sciences (e.g., African Americans, Alaskan Natives, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders), comprise a significant proportion of the enrollments AND that have a track record of commitment to the special encouragement of minority faculty, students and investigators. |
