What is RSS?
RSS (or Really Simple Syndication) is a format for distributing and gathering content from sources across the Web, including newspapers, magazines, and blogs. Web publishers use RSS to easily create and distribute news feeds that contain article headlines, summaries and links back to full-text articles on the web.

What tools or software is needed to use RSS?
To begin taking advantage of RSS, you need a special news reader or aggregator that displays RSS feeds from Web sites you select. There are many different news readers available, many of which are free of charge. Most are available as desktop software that you download and install on your computer. Several Web-based news readers are available as well. Several Web browsers such as Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla's Firefox 2 are RSS-compatible and have a news reader built into their user interface. Once you have decided which news reader or aggregator works best for you simply click on the link below and subscribe to KDHE news feeds.

What are the benefits for using RSS?
RSS is an easy way for you to retrieve the most recent content that interests you from your favorite Web sites. Instead of visiting a particular Web site to browse for new articles and features, RSS automatically tells you when something new is posted online. In other words, RSS news feeds streamlines the communication process between publishers and readers.
