of the Year Award

Maine in Motion
A 12-week program designed to help increase the level of physical activity in Maine people.

ACES
All Children Exercising Simultaneously, "The World's Largest Exercise Class."  This event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 3, 2006.  NEW --  Register online for this event!


National Employee Health & Fitness Day
National health observance to promote the benefits of regular physical activity through worksite health promotion. 


Night with the Portland Sea Dogs
See a special pre-game activity during the Governor's Council's night with the Portland Sea Dogs.

Contest for Communities
A celebration to recognize communities, workplaces, organizations, and individuals that are working to improve physical activity in their respective areas.  


Legislative Fitness Day
This annual event, which takes place at the State House Hall of Flags, emphasizes the importance of physical activity and nutrition for Maine citizens to improve health. 


Home Town Days
These events, which take place during half time of the University of Maine's Women's Basketball home games, is designed to raise the awareness of the importance of physical activity.
