   What's New for CPIM

An annual certification fee of $100 will cover costs for any public funds manager who must take training as required by Ohio Revised Code Sections 135.22 and 321.46. Payment of the annual certification fee will allow participants to attend any of the conferences offered this year by the Center for Public Investment Management.

Another important change to the program is that public funds managers are now being required to earn three of the twelve required hours over a two-year period, from a conference that is conducted by the Center for Public Investment Management in order to be in compliance with the Ohio Revised Code. That means that you must receive a minimum of three CPIM Academy hours between January 2008 and December 2009.

Only those individuals who are required to take the training set forth in the Ohio Revised Code are required to pay the annual certification fee and thus attend a CPIM-sponsored training at no cost. Those individuals who are not subject to the requirement must pay a conference registration fee to attend a CPIM-sponsored conference. The conference registration fees are:

  • Full Day Conference - $100
  • Half Day Conference - $50
  • Computer Lab - $50
