#798Spend a Day with the NIH Help Desk

Description:
Spend the day with CIT: Get an overview of the NIH Help Desk, have a glimpse of how we handle 27 different ICs on the Frontline, with Connectivity and with Enterprise Systems, understand what CAP is, see the Network Operations Center, meet with the Remedy team, meet with the Desktop Engineering group and more. Plus have an opportunity to share any concerns, ask questions and put a face to the name of the many people you work with every day.

Objectives:

The NIH Help Desk Exchange Program is designed to inform IT staff of each other's IT organizations and to improve awareness of each other's IT Service Delivery design.

Its objectives are to:

  1. Present an overview of the NIH Help Desk and support operations through a series of presentations and shadowing sessions.
  2. Create a better understanding of each other's unique requirements and challenges.
  3. Increase quality of overall IT service delivery at the NIH by building stronger, more symbiotic relationships.
  4. Start a true "exchange" program by inviting IT staff from outside of CIT to tour and shadow the NIH Help Desk operations. After this initial session, the guests become hosts at a future date.
