#425JMP Genomics Expression Analysis

Description:
This class will be a hands-on presentation and training on JMP Genomics software. The class will be split into two sessions. The morning session will cover the basics of getting started with gene expression analysis from microarray data. The topics addressed will be data import of Affymetrix, Illumina and text file formats, setting up the basic expression workflow, and interpretation of results.

The afternoon session will cover advanced topics in expression analysis, including exon analysis and other topics on demand, which may include building estimate statements, biomarker discovery or other topics based on class requests.

It is not necessary to attend both sessions, but those attending the afternoon session only should have a good working knowledge of expression analysis with JMP Genomics.

Objectives:
Topics will include:
  • Getting started with expression analysis
  • Exon analysis
  • Other topics based on class demand, e.g., biomarker discovery.
  • Who should attend:
NIH Staff with an interest in understanding the use of JMP Genomics software for microarray expression analysis, or a general interest in analysis of microarray data.
