Description:
This class will introduce students to the current NIH Network. We will talk about what is happening with the NIHnet. This class will give you some insight on what we currently have and what is coming.
 
Objectives:
  • Enterprise Network Services: What is that?
  • IPv6: Where are we now?
  • Security: Firewalls, Websense, IDS and IPS
  • Networks: Wired and Wireless
  • VPN: Wireless and Remote Access
  • Public and DMZ Networks: How do I build this?
  • Disaster Recovery: What is it?
  • Visio Templates for Network Drawings
Who should attend:
Anyone who has a computer on the NIH network
