A second area of emphasis are studies of viral (clade diversity) and host genetic mechanisms regulating HIV neuropathogenesis
from a world wide perspective. Both basic and clinical research applications are encouraged. Multidisciplinary research teams
and collaborative alliances are encouraged, but not required.
