Brief Description:
The purpose of this RFA is to enhance our understanding of the effects of Type 1 diabetes on the development of new blood
vessels from preexisting vessels (angiogenesis), in order to open new therapeutic avenues to treat diabetic vasculopathies.
This RFA seeks basic and clinical studies on the mechanisms of abnormal angiogenesis seen in the complications of diabetes
in wound healing, nephropathy, neuropathy and peripheral, coronary and cerebral arterial diseases.
