Abigail Marsh, Ph.D.
Abigail Marsh is a post-doctoral fellow in the Unit on Affective Cognitive Neuroscience, Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program, at the National Institute of Mental Health. Her graduate research investigated the relationship between individual differences in prosocial behavior and the ability to recognize distress-related nonverbal cues, in particular the fear facial expression. This research led to her receiving a Ph.D. in Psychology from Harvard University in 2004. Subsequently, Dr. Marsh joined NIMH and is now under the mentorship of Dr. James Blair. She studies emotional processing and social behavior in normal and patient populations, implementing both behavioral and neuroimaging techniques.
