  • P-Glycoprotein Function in Brain Diseases.
    Evaluation study. This study will measure the function of a protein called P-glycoprotein (P-gp), which is found at the blood-brain barrier, a membrane that normally prevents toxic material from entering the brain. Ages 35 and over. Location in Bethesda, MD.
  • Side Effects of Newer Antipsychotics in Older Adults.
    Interventional study. This study will compare four atypical antipsychotic medications in terms of the risk of specific side effects each of them presents in middle-aged and elderly individuals. Ages 40 and over. Location in San Diego, CA.
