  • Primary Uses or Exposures: Vinyl fluoride is used mainly in the production of polyvinyl fluoride and other fluoropolymers that are widely used because they are resistant to weather and have great strength, chemical inertness, and low permeability to air and water.
  • Nominated by: NIEHS
  • Basis for Nomination: IARC1 classification as probably carcinogenic to humans based on sufficient evidence of carcinogenicity in experimental animals
  • Current Status: Listed in the RoC as reasonably anticipated to be a human carcinogen since the 10th RoC (2002)
