NCI Initiatives in Cancer Diagnosis: Program Announcements (PA) and Requests for Applications (RFA)

The Cancer Diagnosis Program (CDP), often in cooperation with other programs of the NCI, offers a range of initiatives that encourage and support research in cancer diagnostics and related development of technology and specimen resources. These initiatives (Program Announcements & Requests for Applications) enable investigators to apply for several types of awards in addition to the standard (R01) research project grant. The review of applications in response to these initiatives may be conducted by special review groups.
