Web Version
The curriculum supplement text can be viewed or printed and the optional multimedia activities accessed through the “Web Version” link. Proceed to the teacher’s guide section for complete details on all of the activities.
Request Free Supplements
Due to limited resources, only one print version of each NIH curriculum supplement will be mailed to U.S. (or U.S. territory) K-12 teachers (including home schoolers) or administrators who request them. Please read the "Supplement Distribution Policy." Other parties are requested to use the "Web Versions" or "Downloads.”
Download Teacher’s Guide
The "Download Teacher’s Guide" link accesses a pdf file (~5 MB) of the curriculum supplement. This is all of the information you need for the classroom lessons, including background and masters for handouts and transparencies. Some of the lessons have an optional multimedia component, which is accessible through the web version or by downloading the CD-ROM. To read the Teacher's Guide you need Adobe Acrobat Reader. Download Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Download CD-ROM
The "Download CD-ROM" link allows you to download a folder with the teacher’s guide and the optional multimedia activities. These files are very large and a high-speed connection is strongly recommended.
State Standards
Each NIH Curriculum Supplement is being aligned to the science, mathematics, English language arts and health standards of every state, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Click on the links above to select a pdf file of your favorite standards. Not all standards are available, yet. We're working on it.
