Third Annual Summer Institute in Maternal-Fetal Pharmacology

July 29-August 4, 2007

Sponsor/Co-Sponsor(s): Obstetric and Pediatric Pharmacology Branch (OPPB), Center for Research for Mothers and Children (CRMC), NICHD; Office of Research on Women’s Health (ORWH), NIH; and the Institute on Human Development, Child and Youth Health (IHDCYH)

Location: Bromont, Quebec, Canada
Purpose: Presently, the pregnant mother and her unborn baby are rarely included in therapeutic studies, leading to serious orphaning from the benefits of drug therapy. The overall objective of this Summer Institute is to foster the development of a critical mass of researchers and clinicians in this neglected area. A limited number of spaces are available for this unique training opportunity that will feature distinguished international faculty members who are national and international leaders in various aspects of obstetric and perinatal pharmacology.

The application period for this summer institute is now closed.
