Congressman Franks Announces Grant for Bullhead City Airport Rehabilitation Project

June 12, 2007— Congressman Trent Franks (AZ-02) announced the County of Mohave will be receiving a federal grant of $2,909,783.00 to rehabilitate the terminal building at the Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport.  The project is required to accommodate the expanded passenger screening areas and to enhance safety at the airport.

“The Bullhead City International Airport is one of the most important venues of the northern Arizona community, and I am so pleased that this grant of nearly $3 million will facilitate rehabilitating the terminal building, enhance passenger safety, and improve the quality of life and work environment for not only airport employees, but every person who travels through this area in our beautiful state.”

Laughlin/Bullhead International is a non-hub primary airport located in Bullhead City, in Arizona’s Second Congressional district.

Congressman Franks is serving his third term in the U.S. House of Representatives, and is a member of the Committee on Armed Services, Strategic Forces Subcommittee, Readiness Subcommittee, Committee on the Judiciary, and is Ranking Member on the Constitution Subcommittee.
