Brian Lakey

Brian Lakey is professor of psychology at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. He has published widely on the topic of social support over the past 25 years, in journals such as Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, and Journal of Personality. He is currently Associate Editor of the Journal of Social and Clinical Psychology. In the last decade Dr. Lakey has focused on applying Generalizability Theory to distinguish among the effects of recipient personality and various social influences in social support's link to health.
