    To increase awareness among health care providers about the risks and benefits from radiation exposure from CT scan use in pediatric patients, REB collaborated with the Society for Pediatric Radiology to prepare a brochure entitled "Radiation & Pediatric Computed Tomography, a Guide for Health Care Providers."

    Interventional fluoroscopy is an increasingly important and valuable tool for treating disease, but it is not without risk from radiation exposure. This guide for health care providers discusses the value of this important tool used in the treatment of a variety of diseases, the associated radiation risks to patients and staff, and the importance of optimizing radiation dose.

  • Retinoblastoma Newsletter (pdf, 155kb)

    This easy-to-read newsletter informs adult survivors of retinoblastoma, a rare childhood eye cancer, about recent NCI retinoblastoma cohort study results, recommends cancer screening for early detection of second cancers, and promotes healthy behaviors. The newsletter is printed in a large font format for the visually impaired survivors of eye cancer.

    This newsletter informs members of the U.S. Radiologic Technologist Cohort study about recent study findings and provides timely information to technologists who are participating in the study sponsored jointly by the University of Minnesota and the National Cancer Institute.
